La Mata is a small picturesque typical Spanish town, the oldest fishing village on the Costa Blanca. All kinds of shops are available, such as a supermarket, bakery as well as the post office, tourist office and the bus which leaves every 15 minutes to the tourist town of Torrevieja. Around the cozy church square of La Mata you will find terraces to enjoy delicious tapas, cerveza or sangría and is attractive for young and old. The sandy beach of La Mata is wide and long but even in high season not that busy. The Parc de Nature is also worth a visit. In La Mata you can cycling around the Parc de Nature and enjoy the beautiful nature.
