L’Alfàs del Pi is a municipality located on the Costa Blanca, about 60 km from Alicante International Airport. The distance is usually covered in about 45 minutes by car or taxi, depending on traffic and the route. The municipality has approximately 21,000 inhabitants, and almost half of the population is of foreign origin; many people from Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and others live there.

L’Alfàs del Pi offers a mix of beach, nature, and culture. There is Playa del Albir, a quiet pebble and gravel beach with clear water, and the cliffs of the Sierra Helada are a short distance away, ideal for walks with beautiful views.

One of the most famous hiking trails is the route to the Albir Lighthouse (Faro de Punta Albir), via the Serra Gelada Natural Park – about 4-5 km round trip, suitable for most hikers. For art lovers, there is the Museo Delso, with its collection of modern sculptures and ceramics. There are also local festivals (such as the Film Festival in July) and markets, which emphasise the international atmosphere of the municipality.
